Using the fragility and impermanence of 16mm film, I have documented social history throughout England during a decade of great divide and unrest, encompassing the breadth of this country's society and diverse culture.

Further works explore mortality, masculinity, solitude, and ritual, referencing and dissecting my upbringing.

In 2022, my film Mirrors, supported by BFI Doc Society, premiered in the International Short Competition at Sheffield DocFest and was later longlisted for BIFA Best Short Film.

My first feature documentary, Shadows, is now in production and examines class structure, identity, and the balance of power in England.

This is a technical, practical, and creative course. As each student will come to the course with an idea of how to use the format, they will be given bespoke tutoring for their specific needs towards realising their project.

This course is designed for undergraduates and above, 1-6 students, and can run between 1-2 hours.

By the end of the course, each student will be capable of safely and correctly operating the Bolex H16 cine camera, leaving with a PDF outlining the course details.
